Telemedicine is a new technology is the field of medicine, reaching out to provide medical aid to rural areas in the country.

With the help of telemedicine, people in the rural areas no longer need to go to the cities for treatment. Instead. doctors will be able to diagnose the patient from miles away. This diagnosis is carried out via a tele link. Once the tele-link is established, the patient is made to wear a special instrument over the affected region. As a result, the doctor on the other end can have a close view and can accordingly recommend the cure.

For better results, various modules are being prepared. Modules for ECG of heart, skin inflamations, infections of eyes, ear, throat have already been prepared successfully.

According to Dr. Aarti Lal Chandani, this telemedicine has already been demonstrated in some villages and has yielded overwhelming results.

Not surprisingly, telemedicine growth—both development and utilization—is driven by healthcare inequity. The disparity of healthcare access between urban and rural geographies of India, The competition among super specialty hospitals and specialty care infrastructures . Regardless of research methodology, technology and business model telemedicine is indeed growing significantly, both in India and globally.
